Pastel Baked Donuts

Ingredients

 2 cups cake flour
 ¾ cup sugar
 ¼ cup DOVE® Signature Snickerdoodle Bites, crushed into small pieces
 2 tsp baking powder
 ¼ tsp nutmeg
 ½ tsp salt
 ¾ cup buttermilk
 2 large eggs
 3 tbsp vegetable oil
 1 tsp vanilla extract
Pastel Glaze
 1 ½ cups DOVE® Signature Buttercream Frosting Mix
 2 tsp water (adjust based on consistency)
 food coloring of your choice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F and grease a 6 piece donut pan.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, crushed cookie bites, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Mix until well combined.

In a large liquid measuring cup, combine buttermilk, eggs, oil and extract. Mix until well combined.

Pour liquid into dry mix, using a spatula to fold until just combined.

Fill each donut pan pocket 2/3 full of batter and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the toothpick comes out clean from the middle.

Remove pan from oven, let rest for 5 minutes and loose onto a wire rack. Repeat process until you've used all batter.

Once donuts are baked and cooled, mix frosting mix and 2 tbsp. water (to start) in a small bowl.

Add food coloring to achieve desired shade.

If glaze is too thick, add a little additional water one tbsp. at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.

Dunk or drizzle donuts with glaze and top immediately with any edible decorations (i.e., sprinkles) for an extra spin.
